About Fluffy

Adoption Fee: $400
Poodle / Irish Wolfhound
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

Fluffy is a 20-month old Irish Wolfadoodle. He is super sweet and has a playful personality but he's not hyper. He is crate trained, potty trained and on interceptor heartworm prevention. He loves our family- especially my husband. He is 62 pounds and has the tall, lanky wolfhound build. We are looking for a home where he will not have access to a kitchen. He has a super sensitive stomach and a strong nose that gets him into trouble. He's so tall he can't help but counter surf and anything other than his dog food results in stomach issues for him- he can't even have dog treats. He has had colitis and vomiting/diarrhea from treats. We have three small children and have gated our kitchen to keep him out, but it is too difficult to keep him totally out with three kids running in and out leaving the gates open or dropping crumbs etc. He would do really well in a home with another dog and enough space to play outside safely during meals or meal prep. He loves to be attached to my hip all day and would prefer a home where at least one person works from home if there isn't a furry sibling for him to play with. He loves walks, is happy in his crate and has never shown aggression towards us or our kids. He does bark excitedly from our yard when dogs pass by on walks and does anxiously bark if our five year old runs up to his crate (it's something about his footstep speed/high voice- Fluffy doesn't do it with our 2 or 8 year old) and once he is out of the crate he's all tail wags and goofy/playful. He will nudge your hand if you stop petting him- he loves attention and other dogs. He is so sweet and if we had a larger home/yard we would get him a playmate instead of finding him a new home. He will not be content in the backyard alone. Our yard is fenced and unless one of us or another dog are outside with him he barks constantly to come inside- he prefers to be with his people so unless he will be living with other dogs he must be primarily kept inside. He is large so a home with children over 5 would be best- he gets excited and knocks our 2 year old off the couch by accident sometimes. We will only re-home him if we find a home better suited for him than our own and we feel confident that he will be groomed and cared for properly. (In this photo his leg is partially shaved from his IV placement when he was neutered. That has since grown own but he was groomed last week so he's not fluffy at the moment!) Please contact us if you would be a good fit! Thank yoU!
