Vince is still seeking his forever after returning back to the shelter twice now due to no fault of his own. Vince was found as a stray in early February alongside his dad and a sibling. This family was badly emaciated, and not entirely trusting due to severe neglect. We were able to get them safely to the shelter, but Vince's sibling died shortly after arriving. His dad, Timber, had to be humanely euthanized due to his terrible health per recommendation of our vet. This has left Vince as the last remaining member of his entire family. If any good comes out of this story, it is that Vince survived against the odds, and is ready to live the happy life that none of his family ever got the chance to find. As previously mentioned, Vince was not very trusting towards anyone upon arrival. He would cower and hide his face away from everyone, terrified that someone may hurt him. Slowly, he began to trust the staff. They were able to win over his trust with endless meals and plenty of gentle pets. Their patience really changed Vince's life, and he really loves everyone he meets now. Though he can be a little shy when meeting new people around the shelter, he will lay down and soak up any love that you're willing to give him. Of course, he also loves treats! Vince is a calmer pup who would make a great couch potato. He gets along fantastic with other dogs and thrives in their company. Vince would be great in a home with older children who could be gentle with him and respectful. A fenced in yard is preferred for Vince because he is flighty. We think this fella is more than ready for his happy ending. Vince is 8 months old and 60 pounds currently. He has been vaccinated, treated for internal/external parasites, and has tested negative for heartworm disease and all tickborne illnesses at the shelter since his arrival. Vince is already neutered thanks to our donors! Please share our adoptable pets to help them find their forever homes.
