About Toni

Toni is a sweet and playful adolescent/puppy! She's very smart and needs quality mental and physical stimulation each day to be relaxed and happy. Would do great in a situation with a yard. Because she's so smart she's done super well with her obedience training. She knows Sit, Down, Stay, Leave It, Drop It, Find It, Touch, Here (recall), and is learning Place right now. I'm rehoming because I'm a graduate student and my financial situation, constant traveling etc. aren't he best for Toni. But she's been amazing to take care of and brought a lot of sweetness into my life. Because she's an adolescent she's picked up some pesky behaviors that just require some boundaries, esp counter surfing and destructive chewing. She knows the 'off' command and is happy to play with her toys but sometimes needs to be redirected from mouthing and chewing inappropriately. She's been mellowing out lately and with consistent training through the end of her puppy years will be a great, balanced dog. Toni is also very loyal and protective. She'll let you know if people are outside the door but doesn't bark excessively, and is sometimes shy around new people. Working with her to meet new people will be important for her next owner! But with a few treats she warms up quickly and then becomes a goofball rolling over asking for belly scratches. Toni is also crate trained. She would be a great addition to a house with another dog down for puppy energy or an owner excited to live with a loving, cuddly, and adventurous dog.
