About Spudd

Meet Spudd. This cute criminal is available for adoption. This fella and his two housemates were surrendered due to snacking on a few chickens without their previous owner's permission. We totally understand this dilemma and would like to help find Spudd a home where there are no chicken nuggets running around to tempt him. We are actually really surprised Spudd would commit such a heinous crime, as he can be a little ball of anxiety who needs reassurance. He's ready to put his past behind him and be some lucky adopter's new best friend. He is VERY treat-motivated and loves to be loved on. Training can be used to build his confidence. While Spudd is a medium-sized dog, he likes to imagine he is a 5-pound chihuahua who belongs in someone's purse. That being said, he is 100% a lap dog (and a hot mess). Spudd gets along great with other dogs, and we would actually prefer to find him a home with other dogs as he seems to become a little more confident in the presence of other canine companions. We think older kids would be great for him too, as younger kids may be a little too rowdy for his taste. Spuds is a Mountain Cur mix who is a year old and 39 pounds. He has been vaccinated, dewormed and tested for heartworm disease, which he is negative for, but did test positive for ehrlichiosis which he's already receiving treatment for at the shelter. We will happily send medication with his adopter or rescue to finish treatment. Please share our adoptable pets to help them find their forever homes.
