About Ferrets (bonded pair)

Adoption Fee: $400
Small Mammal
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Hello! This is Moose (brown) and Bear (white). But you can of course re name them. :) My fianc̩ and I recently just adopted these little guys, but it turns out I am allergic to them. All of my 3 other roommates are fine, so I am the only one having the allergy issues. It breaks my heart to rehome them, but I cannot play with them without having a reaction so it isn't going to work out. These little guys are fixed and de-scented. They are two years old, and their previous owner trained them amazingly. They don't nip or bite. We have had no destructive/digging issues (other than basic play that doesn't ruin anything). They are impressively well potty trained. They will stop in their tracks, no matter what they are doing, and run back to their cage to use the litter. (The only issue I've noticed is the white one is a little blind, and if he gets disoriented/can't find the cage he will have bathroom accidents, but is fine as long as he knows where his cage is). I have been rewarding with a treat every time they stop playing to use the bathroom, and they respond very well to that. They are super social and good with people. We have had many guests over since getting them, and they don't mind being held and played with by people they don't know. They are cuddly, curious, and adventurous. They come with a triple height ferret nation cage, a travel carrier, a completely full box of litter, puppy pads, about two months worth of high quality ferret food, and a couple toys (these guys will play with anything/everything). Two things: ONE - We will absolutely not separate these guys. They are a bonded pair and very social creatures. TWO - They must go to a home that has the time to care for ferrets. These animals need to get out of the cage every day, they are not meant to spend their lives in such a small space. We have been letting them free roam for at least 3 hours a day. They are honestly trained enough that they could be totally free roam full time in a ferret-proof space. If you think you're a good fit for adoption, please reach out via text!
