They adopted him from from a shelter where he was due to death of first owner *Located in Moultrie GA Who is Zeus? During the day, you get the lounger Dane for a majority of the day.%A0 This is coupled with the lover Dane. We will get more into that later.. The times you get something other than the lounger Dane: *The shadow Dane- This is when he believes you are leaving and he invites hisself along or when he thinks he should get a snack. He really feels entitled to traveling as he rides so well in the vehicle, so since he's such a good passenger, why not take him every time you leave? To be fair, he did really well in some local stores, so he feels even more entitled because of the praise received. *The inspection Dane-If you have a home that gets frequent packages, he will insist on inspecting them to ensure they are not misaddressed and actually belong to him. This version of him arrives when you have decided he's comfortable and you have the opportunity to get a task done, such as vacuuming, to which he must stand where you are wanting to vacuum to ensure that is the right decision. *The protector Dane ( only truly applies when other dogs initiate this mode)- This is when the others in the home make ruckus and he feels the need to join in. On the rare occasion he may initiate this mode when he thinks he hears the UPS truck delivering 'his' packages. *The lover Dane- At times, this causes him to shrink to the size of a pocket pup (at least in his head) and find your lap to sit or lay on. Other times it is the 'simple' task of giving his hugs (leaning on you not knowing he isn't a pocket pup) or reaching out his paw to get the pets he so well deserves. Snuggling close, getting pets and knowing his hooman are close are all his love languages. *The player Dane- This mode isn't activated too frequently or for extended periods of time, but in this mode he has been given the challenge to destroy! He's a heavy chewer on most toys. He doesn't try to consume what he's broken off but he wants to annihilate most toys. There has been a few occasions, during holiday decor season, that when he was excited about the return of a hooman from outside, he grabbed a decoration to present to hooman for enjoyment. In those instances nothing was destroyed or attempted.%A0 He prefers this mode to be indoors, however, he will activate this mode for short instances outdoors. *The talker Dane- This usually becomes apparent when the other dogs in the home have hijacked his toy he was playing with last. The house dogs take his toy away and instead of taking it back from them, he simply barks at them. This has yet to work on the house dogs, but works to get hooman involved for dog taking the toy right out of his mouth. The main other occasion for this version is when he needs to go outside to potty and you didn't offer it when he went to the door to go outside. He will locate hooman and whine and bark to get his point across. Zeus is truly a wonderful boy! He has good manners, working on not squishing people when trying to sit down and is so loving and gentle, for a giant. He takes treats very nicely and is gentle when removing the pillow from the couch that's in his way of laying down. He loves the big back yard but really want to do his business and come back inside to lounge on the couch. He enjoys new people and has been interested in my new grandbabies, but not that interested. He would make some family truly happy, with all his love to give and he would absolutely love to find his forever family! Zeus is crate trained and housebroken. He is neutered and UTD on vaccines and preventatives. He's currently a foster home in Moultrie GA. We do adopt NATIONWIDE but require adopters to travel to the foster home with their current dog/dogs (to ensure they will be friends) to pick up. Out of respect for our foster family's time and privacy, we do NOT arrange meet and greets without an application on file.
