About Waylon

Waylon is such an amazing, sweet and smart little dog! He is 10 years old this June. He knows all the commands; sit, down, wait, okay, roll over, turn left, turn right, get back, get up, get down, outside, shake, and speak! He recalls easily to a quick whistle. House-trained too! Gets along great with our 5-year-old and his companion the cat. He has lots of doggy friends from his time at doggy daycare, but tends to try to dominate larger dogs and can be leash reactive. That hasn't stopped us from taking lots of walks, we just have to ask him to sit and wait while the other dogs pass by. Has never lunged to bite. Plays fetch with all his heart and soul. Is incredibly food motivated, and not food-aggressive. We love Waylon and he is a wonderful family dog. Our hearts are broken having to find him a new home. Due to divorce and income changes we can't afford to keep our house and yard. He won't thrive in apartment living while I work full-time, so we made the difficult decision to find him a retirement home full of love.
