Janea has come a long way in the past few months, recovering from mange as a puppy after being abandoned with her mom and siblings to becoming a happy and healthy, sweetheart of a girl. Janea is a true rescue dog and will need a patient adopter as she continues to come out of her shell and feel safe in her new surroundings. Janea LOVES other dogs, she follows their cues and learns from them. She plays well with her foster siblings and is always looking to see what they are doing. We feel she would do best with another dog in the home. Janea does not chase, bark at, or pester the resident cats. Janea absolutely loves going for walks and does great on a leash with or without a harness. Taking walks is one of her favorite things to do and she is able to let her personality shine as her ears bounce and her tail wags along the way! Janea is still a puppy and she still has an occasional accident but is getting better and does pretty well with a schedule and patience as she learns your routine. She has done great at knowing what is appropriate to chew on, she is also not mouthy at all. She is very quiet- we have hardly heard a bark, even when the other dogs are being noisy. Janea can be timid and loud noises, sudden motions, and new people sometimes scare her, but she is getting more confident and inquisitive. Her kennel is her 'safe place' and she still needs time to decompress if she is restless. She is comfortable and quiet in there, but sometimes needs encouragement to rejoin the world. She is such a good girl, giving us glimpses of her future lovely qualities, and just needs time and a patient, nurturing new family.
