About Buddy

Buddy is 4 yrs old and weighs approx 56 lbs. Hello! My name is Buddy! I am super loving with my family and people I know well and want nothing more than to be by your side and cuddling on the couch. I really like giving kisses and getting belly rubs! I can become protective of my people while on leash and will need my new family to continue the training I've started at the shelter so I can become more confident when walking. I would do best in a home without a lot of visitors or where there's a place I can be put away when visitors come over. I will be your best friend, but I will also want to protect you. Because of this I really need a home without kids�'�|and no cats, please! I would love to have my own fenced-in yard; playing fetch and pushing the jolly ball around are two of my favorite pastimes. When on a walk, I don't pull on the leash; I like exploring but I won't pull you after every bird or squirrel I see. My favorite volunteers say I have so many great dog qualities: I'm playful, affectionate, smart (I know my name, 'sit,' and 'catch'), don't mind sharing my toys or food�'�|and did I mention I'm a really good snuggler?
