About Nyla

Adoption Fee: $60
Lab mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Meet adoptable Nyla! Nyla and her friend, Champ, were surrendered to the shelter at the end of February due to their owner falling ill. Unfortunately, there was no one else in the family that could take her on, so she was handed over to the shelter in hopes that we could find her a new family. She has transitioned pretty well into shelter life despite her loss, but is hopeful that she can find a family soon. Nyla is a wonderful dog that any family would be lucky to have. She doesn't have a mean bone in her body and has an obvious love for life. We believe she would absolutely love a big yard where she could run and sunbathe as we approach the summer months. She has spent a lot of time outside since being brought to the shelter, and really loves the play yards. Aside from loving the outdoors, she also loves the company of other dogs. If you are a family that already has a few pets of your own but are looking for a rescue dog to add to your pack, Nyla is a worthy candidate for sure. Nyla would do well in a family with children as well since she is playful, but not too pushy. Just don't adopt her if you are hoping for a dog that will protect your home! The worst she will do is lick someone to death. Nyla is a two-year-old labrador retriever mix who currently weighs 63 pounds. She has been vaccinated, dewormed, and tested positive for heartworm disease and negative for all tick-borne diseases. There are several cheap methods of treatment for heartworm disease, but they cannot be done in the shelter environment due to the number of stressors present. Do not let this be the thing that deters you from adoption! Nyla is already spayed. Please share our adoptable pets to help them find their forever homes. Located at the Brownsville Haywood County Animal Shelter in Brownsville, Tennessee. The adoption fee is $60. We have no pull fee and can help arrange transport for local 501c3 rescue groups.
