About Rose

Adoption Fee: $325
American Staffordshire Terrier / Kuvasz
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

Rose is an eight-month-old, Staffordshire Terrier and Labrador Retriever mix, weighing about forty-five pounds. We rescued Rose on her euthanasia day at a high kill shelter. We don't know much about Rose other than she was very traumatized when we got her, and she is so young to have go through so much uncertainty. Because of this Rose is very timid and has no aggression. Rose would do best in a home that is calm and routine until she gains confidence. Rose needs to be adopted by a woman only. Because of her past history of abuse Rose runs and hides when men enter the room. Rose is very afraid of men. Rose loves belly rubs, is working hard at her foster home on gaining confidence and loves to run around the backyard. A fenced backyard will be required. Rose requires a slow introduction to other dogs. She is timid and lacks confidence, and this can make her want to hide. Rose would be good with a mature early teen child in the home, that can understand Rose needs time to decompress and gain confidence. Rose is young and could live to be thirteen years or more. Please consider your life circumstances before applying for Rose and the long-term commitment required. We follow up regularly on all adoptions. Apply at crisisdogsnc.org. We reply only to completed applications, no calls. Excellent vet references and a virtual home visit required. Your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We prefer a fenced yard, but this is not required for all of our dogs. We transport by land or air whenever possible.
