About Presley

Presley is a very loving and sweet Doberman. He is underweight at 65lbs and he is tall, beautiful, and stately, everything you would expect from this breed. He is very connected to his person and wants nothing more than to be by your side. But food is a very close second. Since he is still underweight, he might get more relaxed about his food once he feels more secure about it. He will need an experienced handler, preferably someone familiar with the breed, and someone willing to give him the time and space he needs to decompress. He takes direction well and like a lot of Dobermans, is sensitive to correction. He can be pushy around food and other things he wants to do, and needs a gentle, but firm leader. He has a very strong prey drive, so he will need a home without cats or other small animals. He would also be happy as the only pet because he is so focused on his person, but could also do well with another dog in home. He has been sharing space well with a smaller female dog and has no reactions to other dogs on walks. He has been fine with all people. Kids are unknown. He is house trained and crate trained. He is not yet neutered and will be neutered through the rescue. Overall, Presley is a love bug that prefers to be pet all day and while we don't know his history, he definitely deserves all the pets.
