About Elsa

Elsa is a ten-year-old one hundred- and twenty-five-pound Saint Bernard. Miss Elsa is a senior gentle giant who is wonderful with dogs and kids. She is well mannered, healthy except for some arthritis, and lazy. A sweet tempered gal she is being bullied by the resident dog and needs to find a home where she can lounge around, enjoy meals and sun herself in a fenced yard. Elsa is leash trained, needs a fenced yard because if a door is left open she will bolt; however she does not run fast! Still, no young kids who can leave a door or gate open. Otherwise, Elsa is an easy companion to a senior; she is docile and lazy and prefer inside comforts; this is not a sporty gal! Her foster writes 'Elsa sleeps 22/24 hours a day. She is very lazy to the point you have to push her outside and make sure she does not sneak back in! She has no nipping behavior or aggression and needs an easy going resident dog companion if she is not your only dog. She likes cuddle in a crate or dog bed. She does counter surf and get into the trash if the lids are not on! Mostly she lays around!' Understandably Elsa has arthritis for which she takes gabapentin; and allergies for which she takes 24 mg of apaquel daily. She eats a salmon and sweet potato kibble 1.5 cups twice per day, loves treats of any kind but should not have rawhides or greasy dog bones as they tend to upset her belly.
