I am an un-papered full blood German Shepherd. I just turned one as my birthday is 2/22/22 - fun right %BD%BD%BDS My past has had a crooked route but none of it is bad. I am looking for a place with lots of room to run (I can tear up grass as I am FAST and water is a big draw for me). My current mom & dad got me when I was 7 weeks old with my brothers Apollo and Ace. We were the 5th, 6th and 7th German Shepherds they have had - so they know what they are doing. However - they had never heard of littermate syndrome. As we got bigger we started getting very rough with each other. With research mom discovered littermate syndrome and we have it. My brother Ace went to live with her son (as planned) and then there were just 2 of us. It was a lot, but we were trying to make it work until my Dad had to have heart bypass surgery last summer. After that, mom was the only one available to train and she was pretty busy with Dad. They decided to re-home me at 5 months (I was chosen as my brother Apollo broke his leg when he was a puppy so he needs to stay with them) to someone they were acquainted with. I went to live with this nice older lady (mom2) who said she would walk me a lot! I was really very good for her inside, but she didn't listen to what my first mom said about walking. Mom 1 told her to demand a heel using a choke collar. Mom 2 put me on a harness and I was not good. I pulled a lot and she couldn't control me as I am strong and really want to run. Also, she stopped letting me run in the back yard as I made it a mess. When I got to go out I was put on a tether. I'm a puppy - I gotta burn off this energy or I'm a hot mess. She would take me to play with my cousins but I started getting mean with their shepherd. Then I got mean with other big dogs. So she had me fixed (ouch - but all better now). It was not enough - I got away and was too worked up and pulled this nice lady down and hurt her some. I feel really bad. She then called my first mom as mom 1 said if it didn't work out, she would take me back. So that is where I am now back with mom 1. This first mom is a stickler for rules. She taught me to heel, not jump and a whole lot of things when I was really little. She didn't let me get away with being bad. I've been back at her house for a few days now. I have gone on walks as well as play with my brother Apollo some. It is fun - but too much as they have to be watching us all the time we are together without a fence. I have been good on walks - Mom 1 does keep giving me little jerks saying heel a lot, but I have not been out of control or gone after any other dog. When I play with my brother, she puts shock collars on us, just in case. We only had to be shocked once. Now if the beep sounds, we settle down. So I'm ready to find my forever home. I am good in the house, but crate/kennel me when you leave (like anyone else - I don't like you to be gone). I love toys and come when you call me. If you have a bit of a strong arm (for walking) and can be my alpha I will be great for you. But you must remember, I am big and need lots of exercise and stimulation. 1st mom will be picky where I go. Hopefully with experience with large breed (high drive) dogs. I need lots of exercise or the country or large yard is really important. I have a lot of love and years to give. Adoption fee to Mom 2 for my neutering cost.
