About Basil

LOCATION: Manheim, Pennsylvania DOB: 12/12/2022 Do you believe in true love? How about love at first sight? Cuz I do. And I think the moment you meet me you are gonna fall head over heels and not wanna let me go. My name is Basil but my friends call me 'Bae Bae'. Since usually just being adorable isn't enough to get adopted, my friends at Save Rocky said I should tell you a little bit about myself, too. So here goes- I asked my foster mom for help in describing me and she said I am a 'sweetheart'. I like that word cuz as soon as you read it you know exactly what it means. She also said to tell you that I am a 'firecracker'. Not like the big, scary ones that go boom. She means cuz I love to play and wrestle and be silly with the older dogs. Sometimes I will take off running in the yard and the big dogs all chase me and we have an absolute ball. I'm friends with all size dogs and all size people which is nice cuz then I have no problems always finding somebody to play with. I also heard adopters want to know if I'm potty trained. The answer is Yes. I will go to the door when I need to do my business. That's all I need to say about that, right? My foster mom said Yes so I'm thankfully moving on. To try to help me be more 'adoptable', my foster mom has been working with me on leash training and some basic commands. She calls them 'puppy manners'. And since my future family may want me to go in a kennel when they leave the house, I am practicing that now, too. I know that when I do good things my foster mom is gonna give me treats so I just keep doing good things! Seems pretty easy! She says it's not easy for all dogs to do these things but that I am very smart and I like to make my people happy so it's easy to train me. I just see treats. So, that wraps up my biography.
