About Susie the Lab Mix

Introducing Susie, the short stature hound mix. Susie was a street dog, found barely surviving on the streets of Texas while heavily pregnant. Due to her life on the streets, she did not trust people, and it took a lot of patience and love to teach her to trust people. Susie's foster family worked tirelessly to get her to understand that people are good, and because of that, Susie REALLY loves her foster family. Her foster family has several dogs of their own, in addition to fostering, so it is time for Susie to find her forever family. Susie likes to lay on the bed at night and cuddle up by your feet. She loves a good plush dog bed as well. Susie loves to run and play with her foster siblings. She would do best with a secure fenced yard. Susie is starting to love toys and chewing bones. She is up to date on shots, microchipped and spayed. Susie will need a slow transition into a new home, as she is very bonded with her foster mom. Her ideal family will be willing to have Susie visit several times per week for a few weeks while she gets to know them before she officially moves in. Because of this, It would be best of she could be adopted to someone near the Delavan, WI area to ease the transition between her foster and new home. Susie is being fostered in Delavan, WI. Her adoption fee is $200. Her adoption fee will be used to finance our program of readying additional dogs, puppies and kittens which we rescue, provide veterinary care, transport and adopt out in the northern United States. Our goal is to get as many homeless animals out of south Texas, where we have a severe pet overpopulation crisis. We cannot guarantee breed or age.
