About Roxy

Roxy is a 6 and a half year old, 70 lb. lab mix. When Roxy's owner passed away, Roxy and her sister were in need of rescue. Both dogs were rescued by us, Lighthouse Animal Shelter. Her sister has found her forever home but Roxy is still waiting a year and a half later. Roxy is a sweet & loyal girl who has become a volunteer favorite. Roxy has been to professional training due to reactivity toward other dogs when on walks. We always knew that Roxy was special but going through training with her made us realize how incredible and loyal she is. Roxy knows how to sit, lay down, stay, heel, come, and place. She may do best as the only dog in the home but we are open to exploring other options if they are in the best interest of Roxy and her new family. She is incredibly smart and very deserving of her own family. Her new family will understand that they are adopting a sweet, lovely, fully trained dog but will also respect that Roxy needs to continue her training so she continues on this path to success!
