About Klaus

Klaus is a 7yr. old German Shepherd. Klaus is house broken, obedient and well mannered. Klaus is a loyal companion to those that he trust. He is a very healthy dog with no signs of joint pain or other medical issues. Klaus enjoys walks through the neighborhood and playing games such as tug of war and finding hidden toys. Klaus also enjoys relaxing with his loved ones. We love Klaus, but he has recently injured our 3-year-old son. Our son bit Klaus on the face and Klaus responded with what we believe to be intended as a warning snap. When Klaus tuned his head quickly with is teeth showing he caught our son in the cheek. This resulted in an injury that needed stiches. Klaus has always responded defensively and with 2 children under the age of 3 in our house our trust has been irreparably broken. Klaus can be defensive with his teeth when he feels threatened. He has given several people level 1 or 2 bites on Dr. Dunbar's bite scale. Klaus needs to go to a home with a patient/experienced owner. I can provide more info about his behavior upon request.
