About Toby

(DOB 11/05/2022). Due to Toby's young age, he has not yet been neutered. For this reason, we are only considering local placement (within 1 hour drive time of Wake Forest NC). Toby has great ears, and they can really make a statement! They are very expressive in and of themself. He also has a beautiful coat, and he is so handsome with his tan and black markings! Do you have dogs that would love another furry sibling? Toby is definitely looking for a home with other dogs to play with; he has a lot of puppy energy to burn. Toby lives with his brother currently, and will certainly need another dog when adopted. Toby loves his brother and will certainly fall in love with his new fur siblings. He would likely enjoy doggie day car as well. Toby enjoys playing in his foster's fenced in yard and looking for minimum 4ft fenced yard in his fur-ever home. After a good romp and playtime with his furry sibling or his foster family, he likes to plop down in the sun for a nap. He really enjoys the out-of-doors! Even with a fenced yard, Toby likes at least one daily walk. It's great time to practice good loose leash walking manners and meet new friends. Speaking of new people, Toby loves everyone he meets and is quite the little social butterfly. He is happy and friendly. Toby loves all kinds of toys and is very playful. He shares his toys nicely and is overall gentle and sweet. He likes to be around his family but isn't on top of you. He is smart little fellow and food/treat motivated so perfect for training at this age. A little time spent each day is a wonderful way to spend quality time and bond with your pup. Speaking of food, he is still learning that counter surfing is frowned upon in this establishment. He'd love to sneak an extra tasty morsal, and we are working on that. Toby has not been kid tested and since he is still young and has a lot of energy, a home with older children (8+) should be fine. He is still a bit mouthy and nips since he is learning bit inhibition at this age. Plus, we wouldn't want his energy level to accidently knock over a wee one! In addition, his foster family does not have a cat so he has not been cat tested. Toby is crate trained and still sleeps in a big crate with his brother at night. He is doing really well on potty training as well. Consistency is very important during this time. He has taken a few car rides and that to he seems to be fine with. All kinds of new experiences, places, people and things are great for pups his age so take him with you as often as possible to expand his horizon! As part of Toby's $325 Adoption fee he will be neutered, microchipped, up to date on age appropriate vaccines and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventives. At the time of adoption, a $100 spay/neuter deposit and puppy spay/neuter agreement will also be required. The deposit will be returned once the puppy is altered.
