About Luna Lovegood

Luna Lovegood is a spayed female American Pit Bull Terrier/Boxer mix born Aug 23, 2020. This young girl is a pocket pit and is a smaller medium-sized girl. She is a bit of a couch potato and does not need a lot of exercise. Ambling around the yard and lounging in the house satisfies her. A fenced yard and a loving home are what she is looking for. Luna Lovegood has been friendly and affectionate with her foster family. This girl was raised in a loving home, and behaves in a house. Her family could not keep her and was very sorry to give her up. She has lived with another dog and can get along with another nice dog that she knows. If she has not met another dog, she will bark at it through a fence. She has been lovely with people that she has been introduced to. The employees at Rutherford Pet Supply and the Adoption Center all love her. Luna Lovegood can be protective of her people against strangers and will bark strongly at someone she does not know. She will do best in a home without too many strangers coming and going. Luna is special needs. She had heart surgery to stretch a too small left ventricle when she was a puppy. She takes a beta-blocker every day (atenolol). This medication costs about $35 per month. Since her surgery, she has done great. Due to her special needs, her adoption fee is $75. She is spayed and microchipped. She is house trained, crate trained and rides fine in a car. She currently lives at our adoption center in Rutherford County, NC.
