[Read About Natural Seizure Care] Rowdy is 7 years young and loves to please! He is often found carrying his toys or the yard equipment around in his mouth. Loves long walks, the snow, and training! Previous owner stated he had a history of seizures from getting into things like leather and trash. In his month with me, I've only seen one partial seizure where he maintained consciousness. He has separation anxiety that is improving slowly. I was not told of any history of abuse, but he cowers and acts scared when hands are moved too quickly, voices are raised, etc. He lived with another lab and loves other dogs. We were told he ignores cats, but when we got him home found that to be incorrect, at least with our cat. He locks on and points. With the way he plays with his toys I hesitate to allow him around any small animals. Overall he's a lovely guy, is trained to sit, stay, go, and a variety of others. He was a duck hunter, I believe. Would benefit from somewhere he can receive lots of personalized care; I was not aware he was abused or that he would chase cats, and am not able to provide or afford adequate training for both these things. Your adoption fee can go towards a class or something, I just really want to make sure he ends up in a good home. He's a good boy and wants to be part of the family! He does bark if there's a noise he's unfamiliar with but he's easily quieted. UTD on shots, weighs around 75lbs. He was 70 when I got him and the vet says he should weigh 80. He uses a slow feeder and loves being brushed. I have his AKC paperwork stating he is a pure breed.
