About MiMi

Well, hello there, my name is Mimi, a 1 year old, 10 pound Chhuahua with the most adorable ears in the world! I enjoy spending time with people, dogs, and cats, but my favorite thing to do is spend time with you! My chosen person is my entire world, and I will do everything I can to make you smile! I enjoy the active life-style being able to take walks or even run around in a fenced yard. But that's not to say I can't take it slow, when it's nap time. I have no problems curling up on your lap and sleeping while you read a book or watch tv. I don't mind wearing a harness or a leash, I don't have a problem when I go on walks, but I need a secure harness because I just get so happy! I'm still learning about potty-training, I've been doing very well of letting my foster mom know when I need to go out but sometimes still have accidents in the house, I am fully crate trained though and I see that as my little secret base to hide my toys and curl up in blankets! I enjoy riding in a car, either on your lap or in a booster seat, I enjoy snuggling down and snoozing while we cruise in the car. My current foster family has a fenced yard that I do lots of zoomies in and several other dogs and cats who I do well with. I especially love the squeaky toys and balls! I'm a bit on the shy side when it comes to meeting new people, so it's best to take it slow with me and maybe offer me some treats to prove how nice you are. However, I must be honest, I'm not fond of men because they are big and scary to me, so I just curl up and hide. I try to do my very best when meeting men, but sometimes my past traumas make it difficult to trust. My foster family is working with me and socializing me, so I'm hoping I get better at it!
