Spock is around 13 years old. He was my mother in laws' dog. I know that they bought him from a champion breeder and had him flown in to Reno. Her and her husband both passed away at home (both 84 years old) and were found during a wellness check while Spock was with them. He has severe separation anxiety due to this circumstance as well as not being socialized during his upbringing. I personally cared for him for about a year until I could not. During my time with him, he would escape when he had a chance. Maybe looking for my mother in law. Oddly enough, while in the care of my daughter, he never tried to leave. My daughter had taken him in along with her German Shepherd (who get along fine) and were living in a house with her boyfriend. They have since broken up and she moved into an apartment. Initially Spock would yip and bark constantly and she was worried about neighbors complaining. He was prescribed Gabapentin and another relaxer by the vet that has seemed to help. Since my daughter works 10-12 hours as a nurse, he is in his crate all day but I try to get them out when I can. Spock is a loving sweet boy. He's very playful with a toy or ball and very alert for his age. The picture posted was taken after his grooming where they found lice. Since they encountered the parasite, they cropped him very close. I have many nice pics of him but they only allow one pic? If you want more, just message me. He has since been cleared of the bugs and is his happy trotting around self. A perfect match for Spock would be a retired couple, or elderly woman. He's a great dog but hasn't found the right situation yet. Take a chance on him, he's really a great dog. this guy will live to 20.
