About Maple

Looking to rehome our Doberman / German Shepherd mix Maple is an almost 2 year old female. Still has that puppy energy and is a pet me forever type cuddler. She's a great deterrent when walking around a sketchy area. Takes more after the Dobey side, very sensitive and wary of strangers but in your pocket. She is unspayed, microchipped, crate and potty trained (though she has some tummy upset sometimes), follows basic commands, and about 60lbs. She's gone back and forth between raw fed and kibble because we have been trying to figure out her digestive issues. She's had issues with her tummy since puppyhood. She was treated for a giardia infection a few months ago but is still underweight. The good is that I think she is trainable. The bad is she already has some issues with leash reactivity and needs a kid free environment for her new home. She picks things up quickly, but she has some behavioral issues that in our life stage we just don't have the skills and time to solve. Looking for a home ideally with breed experience and no young children, able to put some time into working with her. We're rehoming due to having a baby and we're finding little people scare her a lot. Ideally somewhere with more room for her to run but fenced (her jump is impressive!) She gets along with dogs she knows but needs a slow steady intro to strange dogs. She hasn't ever been around cats besides seeing them on walks but doesn't have a very high prey drive.
