About Aurora

Adoption Fee: $350
Great Pyrenees mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Auroraե This fluffy girl is 3 y/o Great Pyrenees mix weighing approximately 75 lbs. She is a sweet girl and love bug who never wants you to stop petting her. True to her breed, she has strong guarding and protecting skills. Once settled in her new home she needs a slow introduction to new people. To set her up for success adopters with breed experience is required. Aurora is both house and crate trained. She prefers calmer environments as unexpected quick movements and noises startle her. Because of this little hoomans under 10 are not advised. She has also shown some resource guarding. Aurora wakes up happy and ready to play. She loves going for walks and does well on a leash. She can be reactive when another dog or person gets too close but calms down once she feels your safe. Ear rubs and running around the yard are a definite favorite. She is very gentle when taking treats. Aurora is good with other dogs as long as introductions are done properly and the dog does not prefer rough play. She gets along well with her foster sister (who is only 10lbs). She shows interest in cats so dog savvy cats could also be her roommate. Aurora is spayed and up to date on vaccines/preventatives. She is currently being fostered in Westminster, MD We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. If interested in adopting, please submit an application online at www.pack9rescue.org. Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $350 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs. Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $400 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate. We are an all-volunteer organization, and we are always looking for more help.
