About Charlie

Sadly, we need to find Charlie a new home. We adopted her from another family in the beginning of January - they originally found her in a box dumped outside of a building last summer. We have loved getting to know Charlie in the time we've had her, but there is tension between Charlie and our older dog that has resulted in incidents with our older dog getting injured. For the emotional well-being of both dogs, and to make sure Charlie doesn't also get hurt, we feel that it is best to rehome her to another family that has NO OTHER DOGS. Other than the few random incidents that have occurred between Charlie and our older dog, we have not had any other issues with her. She is a well-behaved dog and she really loves her people. She gets along well with our cat. She has not been exposed to children. She is young (one year old), so she has plenty of energy. She is smart and likes to learn. It will be best for Charlie at this time to be in a home where she is the ONLY DOG. There is a certified professional behavior consultant and trainer that has volunteered to support and work with Charlie's new family. Since she is not having any other issues except with our older dog in her current environment, it is anticipated that Charlie will do very well in a new home without another dog at this time. Her new guardian can talk with the behavior consultant about potential dogs in Charlie's future. Please message me if you are interested in meeting Charlie.
