About Barry

Sweet Barry is a 70 pound, Bluetick Coonhound who is about 5 years old. Barry has endured neglect like most of us cannot imagine and is still nothing but kind and trusting! Barry is an easy going guy who enjoys meeting new people and takes adoption events in the stride. In his foster home, he enjoys socializing and playing with lots of other dogs. A fenced in yard and a doggie friend is the kind of home Barry has been dreaming of! Can you give him the family he deserves? Augusta Dog Adoptions is a 501c3, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and are scheduling individual adoptions in the Waynesboro, VA area during the pandemic. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
