About Mac

Howl-O! My name is Mac - they call me Mac-o-Moosey. I am a 2.5 year old Bullmastiff mix. I am up-to-date on all of my vaccines, HW negative, and I've been neutered. If you're looking for a handsome, active fella in your life that enjoys long walks, taking car rides, or playing in the backyard, look no further - I am your man! I thrive with a routine and need time to be active throughout the day. Foster mom describes me as a happy, big bouncy boy! I love squeaky toys. I mean I LOVE them, especially if I get to the squeaker. I hear this is a no-no since I like to eat them. I've been given tough squeak toys and this does the trick. Running around the backyard just squeaking away is one of my favorite activities. I enjoy it even more if you throw it for me, or play some tug-of-war. I have been working on my social skills while at my foster home. I can be wary of strangers and need a proper introduction. Usually with some treats, I warm up quickly. Foster mom says I am a smart as a whip. I am highly treat-motivated and love learning new skills. She says I need a leader with good boundaries due to my size. I take correction easily and need my people to understand I am a sensitive boy at heart. I would likely do well with older children but no little ones, due to my size. I am not too keen on folks ruff-housing. I like to make sure my people are happy, and I get worried if they're not. Foster mom says I could be an agility dog. I will need a fenced in backyard, and if not supervised, I will need a privacy fence. I've been known to jump a fence, especially if my squeaky toy is on the other side. In the house, I am very respectful of the boundaries I have, since I share space with two foster siblings. I would do well with a large female companion, but no little dogs. I have limited experience with cats. I love to play but can be quite rambunctious too. If you love dogs, I love dogs. I think we could be a paw-fect match! I am sweet as sugar and just want to find a companion that values spending time with me. I love a good belly rub and my foster mom says I have the perfect hairy belly. Foster mom says it's im-paws-ible to swipe pass a handsome, loveable fella like me. Right now, I live in Indianapolis with my foster family but look forward to an op-paw-tunity for us to meet.
