About BUDDY

American Eskimo Dog / Corgi
Age: Adult
Sex: Male

HI - I'M BUDDY! And I'm an adorable American Eskimo-Corgi mix, currently in a foster home near Seattle! I have the look of an Eskie but the body of a Corgi, and I weigh 38 lbs. I was recently rescued from a shelter. My previous owners gave me up because they said I'm a bit selective with my people (who isn't?) and that I prefer to be an only dog. However, I did well on my dog assessment at the shelter, especially with a little dog. I am shy/scared around new people to be sure, but I am loyal to my owners. I'm very treat motivated and with some time and love, I will warm up to you. I'm also an independent boy now and then; I can sit on my own, or be with my people, too. If you are my best friend, I will seek out attention from you, though I'm nervous if you pet me on the head. Up until now, I'm not interested in toys or bones, though that could change. I'm a bit food protective, though I take treats gently. I do fine with some dogs, especially smaller dogs. Big dogs can scare me now and then. I would do best in a quiet adult-only home, with people who understand the American Eskimo breed. My breed is super loyal and we love our people dearly. Sometimes, we can be wary of strangers. Can you adopt me? Please email for an application.
