About Rachel

Rachel is a great and very sweet and submissive dog to her immediate family members. She is 5 years old. She is the best dog I have ever had. She is never destructive. She is very protective of her family and not friendly with others outside her immediate family. This is normal behavior for mastiffs. She is potty trained. She has had a few accidents. Usually when very stressed. I rescued her in Houston 3 years ago. She was surrendered during Covid. She had puppies at some point before i got her. She is fixed. I wonder if maybe she wasn't abused to some extent before I got her. She cowers if you raise your hand. She has never been anything but gentle and docile to our family in the home. She can tend to get stressed when there are changes going on, like moving or packing boxes. She hates the vet but has never been aggressive at all to their staff. She has a high prey drive. She is very strong. She weighs 145 lbs. She has stiffest animals I call her babies. She loves them and carries them around. She will suck on them. She never is rough with them or tears them up. She loves attention. She was heart worm positive when I adopted her but we treated her for that. She will come with all her food and her 'babies'. I work in healcare and work very long hours as does my husband now. It is not fair to her. Our apartment is also raising the rent for pets and we will not be able to afford the very large increase for that. I absolutely hate to have to get rid of her. I love her so much and she is the best dog I have ever had. I just want her to have a good and loving home!She is also micro chipped.
