About Boba

German Shepherd mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Boba was abandoned on the outskirts of Bakersfield, CA. She was wandering out in the orchards where coyotes roam. She was crossing a very dangerous road and sleeping in freezing temperatures. If she would have stayed out there, she would have surely died. I could not bear the thought of her perishing out there, so I went to get her. I have been fostering her since I picked her up. I was able to get her up to date on her vaccinations, spayed, and microchipped. I have done everything that I can to save her, but there is no way that I can keep her. My circumstances will not allow me to adopt another dog. She desperately needs a rescue to step in or someone to adopt her to save her. I do not want to bring her to the shelter because she will most likely be euthanized. The situation in Bakersfield is extremely dire. Hundreds of dogs were euthanized in Bakersfield shelters during January 2023 alone. The number of dumped and abandoned dogs has reached crisis levels. This is a desperate plea to save this beautiful, sweet girl. Boba is gentle, quiet and well behaved. She knows how to sit and loves to be near people. She has been great around my 3 dogs and 2 children. She is a good walker and is potty trained. She is very affectionate, attentive to others, loves hugs and belly rubs. Boba sleeps in a crate at night with no problems. She is a German Shepard mix, weighs about 50 pounds.
