About Sunflower

Sunflower 1 year old �'ۢ Australian Koolie Mix (RescueMe doesn't have this breed) Meet Sunflower or as I call her, Sunny. If there was ever a dog that was more true to her name, I'd be surprised. Sunflower has a sweet and happy disposition, to everyone she meets. She gets along and lives with dogs as small as 3lbs and as big as a Great Dane. She has done well around kids as young as 5, and has generally loved every person she's met. Sunflower has Merle Ocular Dysgenesis, which basically means her eyes are under developed and likely to continue to deteriorate. She has some vision now, but will likely go completely blind. This also means that her eyes need ongoing medical care and require daily medications. Sunflower would do well in almost any home, but would strongly prefer another confident dog in the house to help guide her. Sunflower truly blossoms in the company of other dog companions.
