About Dahlia

DAHLIA is a 5 month old Heeler husky mix who loves to be active and cuddle in your lap. She loves to play with toys, other dogs and humans. Will make a great hiking partner when she's fully grown and old enough to go. Walks very well on leash using a harness and usually comes when called with encouragement from a shake of the treat jar. Dahlia is very dog friendly and would be happy with another dog in the home or an active family that includes her in their lives. Working on house training and doing well. Learning to sleep in her crate at night and for naps. Smart girl who has already learned to 'sit' and would love to learn all you teach her. Rides well in the car, using a seatbelt harness. Not a big barker. She will bark a little when she's playing with other dogs and makes a sweet little happy sound when she's happy. Enjoys digging in soft dirt and flower pots outside. An adopter who will attend puppy training classes to set you all up for success and keep her socialized with other dogs and humans will be best. With her sweet, playful personality, she could do well in a home with children, over 6 years old. Has not been cat tested, so we will not be adopting her to a home with cats. Dahlia is currently 24 lbs, microchipped, spayed, up to date on vaccines, rabies and heartworm prevention. *In addition to her adoption fee, this pretty pup can be transported to Colorado or the PNW for an additional fee.
