About Lucy

Was hit by a car. Taken to vet where I worked and she was checked out. Limping on left rear leg, but she is just really bruised. No breaks or bleeding. On pain meds for another week. Was microchipped but the owner never registered it. I found out the she was chipped by Indy Animal Care Services. She has been at my work since Wednesday relaxing and getting the rest she needs. However we don't board so she has to go back to the shelter. I took her back to that shelter because I can't keep her and I was unable to find her an home in time. Owners that adopted her the first time were contacted the day I found her, but didn't want her back. I'm thinking she was dumped and that's when I saw her get hit. Between 5-6 years old. Up to date on vaccines. Spayed. Lucy is timid and shy with people at first. Warms up with treats and pets. Unknown how she does with dogs and cats. But with her calm demeanor slow and using caution would be ideal with introductions. Barrier aggressive meaning when there's a cage door or kennel door she gets aggressive with other animals. Unknown how she does with small children. She's very sweet and can be high energy when she warms up. I suspect she'll need proper training to work on her barrier aggression and animal introductions. You will have to go through them to adopt her. It kills me to see her back where she started, so please please please consider adopting her.
