About Koda Joe

*** Severe Allergy Alert**** Koda is a very sweet almost 5 year old boy who unfortunately has a ton food and environmental allergies. He will more than likely need to stay on Apoqul or an allergy injection for the rest of his life. Koda can be a lazy movie watching couch potato or your bestest hiking buddy. He is very intelligent which can lead him into some mischief (He knows how to open trash cans, screen doors and gates). He is a Lab, Coonhound, and German Shepard mix. Koda does well with kids but doesn't realize that he is a hundred plus pounds. So he has a tendency to knock younger ones down or will even try to sit in your lap. He is currently living in a house with 4 cats and even helped foster a litter of kittens. The only dog that there was ever an issue with was a very dominant pit mix. Koda is vocal when he plays some people mistake his playful growls with aggression it is not. He is crate trained but loves to sleep on the couch or in bed with you. Koda is needing a new home due to his Grandma and mom having some health issues that prevent him from getting the attention to detail with his food and other care that he needs. Koda is up to date on all shots except for his rabies vaccine. Which recently came due. Koda is on the mend from a recent allergy break out and ear infection so our vet recommended that we wait to give the vaccine. Koda is not aggressive. He does have a very loud bark that helps deter any want to be home intruders.
