About Jackson

Jackson is a 6-7 year old Morkie (Maltese-Yorkie). He's just a little guy, around 9lbs. He is the very definition of a cuddly lap dog! Jackson has the sweetest and most gentle demeanor. He hasn't met an animal or human he doesn't like. He gets along with all size/age dogs. I think he'd even be happy with a cat sibling. He loves kids, but because of his small size and shyness of fast movements, he'd do best in a home with older kids. Recently he was groomed for the first time and the groomer said he was the perfect dog and loved being pampered! He is very content curling up on the couch with his human and watching movies or shows (his favorite past times are cuddling with big fluffy blankets, being with his humans, sleeping, and treats!). The first part of his life he was used for breeding in a puppy mill and lived in a cold barn without heat and with little to no socialization. He is still learning how to be a dog and getting used to what life is like outside of the mill! He gets better at potty training everyday and rarely has accidents anymore. He'd do best with someone who works from home or can be home often enough to let him out every 4-5 hours while he is still learning a routine with potty training. He wears a belly band in between potty breaks and he doesn't mind it at all (although it is almost always dry). Jackson is also learning that walks are fun and is a great little walker with his leash and harness on. He would do best in a home with a fenced in yard since he does enjoy exploring off leash. We're doing well at going up stairs but still learning how to go down them.
