Buddy is such a special dog. He was 'my dog' and we had such a special bond but he is not compatible in apartment settings. He is very friendly, loyal and loving to his 'person.' He has been obedience trained, and has a certificate of completion. He is obedient, however, he does have trauma due to his past, which can effect his ability to be obedient at times of high stress. He is timid of louder men and does not like when people have temper tantrums. He was feral and had a broken leg from being shot when he was found, and so he is sensitive to poor treatment. He will need a home either with a couple who is calm or an adult woman. He does love other big dogs, so a home that has other big dogs is almost a must. He gains his confidence with other dogs (he had a GSD and Golden Retriever as siblings). He does bark fairly loud if he is crated, so he would have to live in either a farm setting or a home or have a no bark collar, which has worked well. Another note is that he is only 40 pounds so he is a medium sized dog, maybe considered a 'mini' Aussie. I am highly selective of his home, so please only contact me if you feel like you would be the right fit for him. Only the best will do for him!
