About Jerry

***IN NEED OF A FOSTER OR ADOPTER ASAP!!!!! Meet Jerry, He is currently sitting in boarding and needs out ASAP! He is just a puppy at around 12 months old and is VERY stressed living in a kennel, he is 72 pound Male Bull Terrier Mix . Jerry went on an outing with a volunteer and this is what she had to say about Jerry and how amazing he is: To say he was excited to be getting out for the day is an understatement, but you would not know it with this puppy. He was a little jumpy at first, but who can blame him, he is still only a puppy. But that quickly subsided as soon as we left the boarding facility. He did not have any issue getting into the car. I attached his dog seat belt to his harness and off we went. He was not sure what to do with himself at first, and went exploring under my dog car seat cover. He was not anxious, just exploring. He then laid on the seat until we arrived at Papago Park. He was calm and listened well. He walked alongside another volunteer and her lovely day foster dog, Snow. Jerry did not react to any of the cyclists, joggers, or other dogs that came by (big or small). We ventured off to a little stream, and he was not about the water. But did dip his toes to cross. Jerry does not lift his leg to go pee, and did not mark on our walk. He knows sit and while he may not know 'paw' or 'shake,' when he did lift his paw, he let me hold it. For a puppy, Jerry is amazing!! We stopped to get a bath prior to going back to boarding. While he did attempt to get out of the tub a few times, he stayed and let me bathe him. He tolerated it so well. Now for the treat. Went through McDs and did fine getting his treats as I always give them with a close fist. Jerry can certainly stand to gain a few lbs. On the ride back to the boarding facility, he just slept. He had such a big day and did not want to leave the car as he did not want his special day to end. I gave him a treat and went back. Just broke my heart, I fell for him when I saw him in boarding, and then spending the day with him just solidified why I was drawn to him. He is AMAZING!!! Kids 12+ he gets excited and jumoy at times, and takes his treats a little mouthy. No cats, but if you have another dog a dog intro will be done to allow the dogs to meet.
