About Lincoln

Hi there! I'm inquiring with some rescues trying to find the right place to turn. I have a family member in the Lexington, KY area where I'm from and they have a boxer that needs rehoming. They've had him many years but their owners have had substance abuse issues and it's been kind of off and on. My aunt and her kids are who owns him. The kids are going to into other care and she has made the decision to go to a year long rehab program. With that said, the neighbor has been watching the dog (Lincoln) during this process. He has always been extremely well behaved but since being separated has been aggressive towards children, puppies (maybe it's small dogs?), unsure about cats, and also drinking a lot of water and peeing around the home which again, wasn't an issue before the separation. I live in NYC and most of my family is actually deceased or have small dogs or are incapable of keeping Lincoln. Even if I were closer, I have a pug and a cat. My landlord also wouldn't have it. A shelter is likely to put him down, I feel to overcrowding. And we really do not want to risk that. Any help is appreciated, thank you. No fee for rescues.
