Meet SAM- the Otterhound! Sam came to Orcas Island, WA from a shelter in CA where he was surrendered with the comment - 'they do not want him anymore'. He is an approx. 75 lbs neutered male, with microchip and all vaccinations up to date. While SAM is not the easiest dog, needs more training on manners, he is very submissive to the right person, respects him/her and obeys commands. and he can be charming when he wants to. Sam is selective with dogs he likes or does not feel bullied. He is always good with females and smaller dogs. he can easily live with a cat or cats - as he does it now. More leash Training is needed, and lots of burning off energy. ADR.org can see Sam in a home with no small children, firm people (single or couple), that have a sense of owner responsibility and are strong pack leaders. If you are interested in hearing more about Sam, then the owner of ADR.org would like to have a phone call with you and get to know you better before sending an application to you via E-Mail. There are also plenty of videos that can be shared! For first contact please send an email to: [email protected]. Woofly yours, SAM February 2023
