About Gypsy Rose

Treeing Walker Coonhound mix
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

Meet Gypsy Rose! There is no coonhound breed so I guessed the closest thing. This hound dog is ready to sniff out a new home for herself. Gypsy is strong-willed, stubborn, and independent - she would thrive as a farm dog or in a rural area where she's got tons of space to roam. Despite being 6 years old, Gypsy still has plenty of energy and enjoys walking, running, and exploring in nature. She would do well in an adult-only home, or teenagers would be fine too! She's shown mixed reactions towards other dogs - sometimes she gets fixated on them and pulls really hard when she sees them, other times she doesn't seem to pay them much attention. If you have dogs at home, Gypsy would be open to meeting them prior to adoption. Gypsy thinks she's the boss, so sometimes she becomes frustrated if she doesn't get what she wants. Her previous owners said she would sometimes pull really hard when she saw dogs outside, and then get stressed out and snap at the owners when she didn't get her way. She would benefit from some training to help redirect her attention in a constructive manner, before she gets too stressed out. Gypsy may not be a cuddly lap dog, but she still enjoys hanging out with her people! She doesn't like to be left alone in the yard for long periods of time because she can display separation anxiety; she prefers being outside with people, or in her home. Gypsy Rose is an easygoing girl who just needs the right place for her. Please consider giving her a new chance at life!
