About Junior

American Staffordshire Terrier mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Hi! I'm Junior! My friends at Friends of the Burlington County Animal Shelter think I'm about four years old but they tell me that I'm a 'sweet boy with puppy energy' and also that I am eager to please. That means I really like to run and play. I've seen those things called cats, but they really don't interest me. Currently I live in a foster home with other dogs and we have become friends, well two of them are my friends, but the older grumpy one keeps to himself. If you want me to join your family, I'd have to meet your other dog at a meet and greet to make sure we would be buddies! I like the game called 'fetch', but the people that play with me suggest that we use two different balls because they say that I'm clumsy and drop the ball sometimes. After we play for a little while I do enjoy nice walks on the leash and then I'm happy to relax by your feet. I do well when I am crated. The shelter scared me a bit with loud dogs barking and being in my kennel most of the time and I started deteriorate spinning in circles and hurting myself, so Friends of Burlington County Animal Shelter (FOBCAS) pulled me out and put me in a foster home so that I could relax a bit. Here is what my foster mom said about me: I am currently fostering and this boy has exceeded my expectations. He is crate trained, housebroken, dog friendly (check out the video with him playing with my dog), loves to play with toys, loves to play fetch. He is very smart and learns quickly. He knows sit, down, wait, watch, shake. He is learning drop and leave it. He is treat motivated. The best home for Junior is an adult only or possibly teenagers, and no cats, as it's unknown how he would do with them. He has shown no crate aggression whatsoever, and sleeps in his crate for 8 hours at night without a peep. He goes in easily with treats. His adoption comes with 4 weeks of training. If you are interested in Junior or have questions you can message me or email me at [email protected]. Junior and his foster mom are in the video below.
