About Casper

Hi, my name is Casper. I'm a 1 year old 26 lb handsome terrier mix. I fit the description with my white long hair and friendly disposition. I am quiet and a little shy, but I really like other dogs and people. I am very sweet and cuddly. I am learning my commands as I want to be the best boy! I walk really well on the leash, my foster mom says 'walk with me', and I'm doing pretty good. Sit and down are my best. My foster mom likes to walk me up hills and down hills but I am most happy when I go inside for a little snack and a cuddle. I love car rides and I also love to play ball and fetch. I'm really good at that! I will bring you your gloves if you ask and I will give you the signal for potty time! My foster mom thinks I'm pretty smart. Since I am still young I have plenty of time to learn lots and be part of your family. I would do well with other dogs; maybe even a cat. Kids are great and I love people of all ages. I'm just a mellow little guy that has plenty of love to give. I can't wait to be in my forever home, wherever you are is where you will find me. Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources.
