About Tacoma

I have had Tacoma for nearly 4 years. She was a great dog until I had my son. She was adopted from a shelter who knew nothing about her. She was brought up from TN off the euthanasia list. She loves to run and explore. She's a string girl, but walks good on a gentle lead. She does not do well with medium/big dogs. Only small dogs like a Maltese or a toy poodle. She isn't aggressive towards cats, but she will chase them. She is a couch potato and loves to sleep in bed with her humans. She likes older kids, like teens or teenagers. Does NOT do well around babies/toddlers. She is afraid of water and does not do well at a groomer for her nails. We have her vet do it. She will get into trash cans so we keep gallon water jugs on the lid to keep her out. She is VERY smart. She know sit, lay down, jump, high five, paw, and easy. She gets hot spots on her paws in the spring, salmon oil added to her food seems to help. We have been suggested to euthanize her several times for her snapping at my son multiple times, but she's a good dog. Just needs a family without young children.
