We bought Sly about a week ago. He is an 8 month old American Bulldog and weighs about 50 pounds. Unfortunately, he needs way more attention than we feel we can give to him. I found him with a 'Breeder' on Facebook and immediately fell in love with him. He's absolutely adorable and was quite playful with all of the other dogs that he was with. It wasn't until I took him home that I realized that he was severely neglected and possibly abused. He is scared of everything. When you put a leash on him, he immediately drops to his belly and will not move aside from body shakes. He is not housebroken, though after a few days, he is now pad trained. He is good in a crate. Though he will not walk on a leash, off of the leash he will stay right by your side. Literally by your side. He will not even leave my side to go and explore the yard or his surroundings. He still does not understand any basic commands. He is super gentle and takes treats out of your hand with barely a touch. He does jump a bit, not to the point of pushing you, but more to get your attention. He loves having his head patted and scratched almost melting when you do so. I think he would benefit being in a home with another dog or someone that has plenty of time to spend with him and work on his training.
