About BeBe

BeBe is a beautiful old girl looking for a place to lay her head. Now just to be clear, this old girl doesn't want anything but a big soft bed, treats when she is awake, and fed on time. Touching and picking up of any kind are not her thing. She will be a screaming drama queen and even try to use what few teeth she has left. At over 16 years old, we can't blame her though. She came to us from a NY shelter just skin and bone with a bloody leaking mammary mass as big as she was and a mouth full of rotten teeth. Despite her age and a few abnormalities on her blood work she was able to be spayed, have the bloody leaking tumor removed, and a dental! Now BeBe thinks she is big stuff since she is feeling better, and is always following us around to demand treats (or to be a nosey old lady). BeBe isn't a fan of other dogs if they try to touch her or get to close, then the drama mama is out and we know someone got too close to BeBe.... don't worry though, she isn't vicious, just dramatically vocal about the other furry ones touching her. She may be a senior, but this girl is WILD! She will fly through the house spinning with excitement, runs up and down steps, and apparently she is into parkour, so don't be surprised if you see her sailing off of things while flipping and doing spins only to land on her feet and be off running! Trust us, we have seen it so many times it doesn't even raise the heart rate anymore, the girl has some serious skill at her advanced age. BeBe doesn't have the best eye sight, but navigates her path well and her aerial flips. She is at least good at hitting the pee pads for potty time, and she does like to go outside every now and again which means she should have a fenced yard because I don't know about you, but I am not attempting to put a harness on Ms. Fussy Old Lady Pants and risk my ear drums' integrity. Despite her antics, BeBe enjoys being groomed (yea we don't get it either, but she is an angel for it all). If she really really really likes you, she will shock you by crawling part way on your lap and asking for pets, but don't get too overwhelmed because it doesn't last long, and she doesn't do it often at all.
