About Leah

This pretty gal is Leah, a 3 year old Border Collie/Australian Cattledog mix. She weighs about 37 pounds. Leah is a smart gal. She knows: sit, stay, lay, heel, come, drop-it, wait, and her name. She also knows how to shake hands and roll over. Leah is both house and crate trained. Leah is a fun girl who loves to fetch. She is a good outdoor adventure partner who is good on leash and loves car rides. Leah is all about her people, so isn't that into dogs. She isn't a dog park gal and would appreciate being the only dog in her family's home life. As per typical of herders, Leah prefers a polite introduction to new people. She isn't a fan of kids, which is why she needs a new home. She had only one incident, and it was with a kid. She was watching her own kid play ball and, when her kid yelled because someone grabbed the ball from him, she stepped in and nipped out of protection. This girl prefers a quieter home without all of the excitement of kids playing. Leah is a smart, loyal, fun girl for someone who understands that but all dogs have to be family dogs. She is a fantastic sidekick for an active person, especially someone outdoorsy. For that, she will promise to give plenty of love and loyalty. Leah is spayed and up to date on vaccinations. She is located in Los Alamitos, CA. Adopters must be able to meet and adopt here. We do not ship our dogs. A home visit and vet reference are required.
