About Finley

Finley is a handsome and healthy 4-year-old. We got him in June 2022 with no history about him. He is very sweet and gentle and can be shy at first. He loves attention, cuddles, scratches, and playing. His favorite thing in the world is going for long walks! He has been good around other dogs and children but should stay away from cats. He also loves chewing on bones and showing off his stuffed toys. He has been initially wary of men but warms up if approached correctly and after quality time. Finley has separation anxiety, something we discovered after getting him and were not equipped for. He likes to be with you and doesn't like being alone or left behind. This will require patience, training, and for someone to be more available to him. He currently has to be kenneled when we are gone, or we have to take him to daycare. Our work schedules and lifestyle do not meet his needs, and we want to do what is best for him. We are looking for someone who is retired, works from home, is a stay-at-home parent, or has a background in huskies. He requires a lot of exercise and daily walks, so someone active or outdoorsy would be an ideal fit. Huskies are also known to be wanderers, so he would require a secured backyard. He is truly a great companion with a wonderful personality. It has been a difficult decision, but we want to do what will be best for him now that we know more about him. We want to find him the right match.
