About Bubble

Our lovely dog 'Bubble' needs a new home. He has been with us for 3.5 years. He originally came from Delhi, India. We've had him since he was estimated 6 months old. He will be 4 years April 1, 2023 (estimated birthday). He is a neutered male basenji-pyrenees-akita mix (according to a dog DNA test). Bubble's issues are: - leash aggression when approached by other dogs - food aggression - touch sensitivity (doesn't like to be heavily pet, paws wiped, etc.) Bubble's strengths are: - good on leash (when he isn't approached by another dog) - plays well with dogs he likes and knows - excels with food reward-based training - calm demeanor when anticipating fun activities, like a walk Overall Bubble LOVES his freedom, space, and food. His favourite pastimes are sitting on our deck watching the sunset, snow baths, and going on long, off-leash walks/ hikes. He would be the perfect dog for someone who is willing to build a trusting relationship with him, doesn't have children or cats, and has the space and time for him to be outside a lot. He has been well taken care of. I just don't have the time or energy to build the trusting bond I now recognize we need since we've welcomed a baby into our family. Everything was manageable in our 'bubble' so to speak, until a baby arrived. Serious inquiries only please. I am only willing to re-home him to someone with the skills/ experience to work with a fearful dog, or is willing to work with a trainer to address his issues. I am currently working with a trainer I could recommend, but it's not necessary you use the same trainer.
