About Izzy

Izzy is 2-year-old, 13 pound Chiweenie (Chihuahua/Dachshund). She is shy girl who does well with other dogs and cats. Most of all Izzy loves her people and likes to sit on a lap. She would love to be the center of someone's world. Izzy likes to play and her favorite toys squeak. Like many Chiweenie's Izzy is fearful of new people. It takes her a few minutes to warm up to strangers. As soon as she trusts someone that person gets unconditional love. Izzy came into rescue as an owner surrender. She was in a home with Great Danes and it wasn't safe for her. She is scared of big dogs. Izzy would like a home with a physically fenced yard, she isn't used to going out on a leash. Izzy is house trained but is a tiny dog so she needs to go out often. In the extreme cold weather Izzy will use a potty pad.
